I try to ignore Maureen Dowd's inanities as much as possible, but her latest column is beyond absurd. "SpongeBush SquarePants"? It's like a Dowd parody done by a fourth grader. Can't she spend some of that reported $675,000 advance for Bushworld on a decent ghostwriter?
Update 2/14: If you're coming here from Google, make sure to check out our Spinsanity archive of criticism of Dowd. It's a winner.

You totally missed her point. It seems like a 4th grader wrote a parody of her work, because it's a 4th grade issue! Spongebob is simply a children's cartoon character. Shiver me timbers, she's brilliant!!
