I am an assistant professor in the Department of Government at Dartmouth College. Previously, I co-edited Spinsanity, a non-partisan watchdog of political spin, and co-authored All the President's Spin. My posts here are also frequently cross-posted at HuffPost Pollster and Washington Monthly's Ten Miles Square blog. Wonderful. Last week I got my weekend ruined by having my face rubbed in all the conservative lemmings, and this week it's the liberals making me depressed.

I'm not sure why we need to get in a huff about some allegedly offensive comment about Ann Coulter. 'Brainless' can be used an adjective meaning failing to use intelligence. Regardless of how smart Coulter is (I'm skeptical) her arguments are certainly brainless in this sense.
