I agree with Brendan that we need clarity on how the AZ law will actually operate. The best way to get clarity of how the law actually works would be to let the law go fully into effect and see what actually happens. There was no legal need for the judge to invalidate parts of the law based on a guess as to how it would operate. If its actual operation was unconstitutionial, there was always an opportunity to invalidate it then.
It's unfortunate that a judge made a political decision to prevent this law from going fully into effect. Hopefully a less political appeals court will overrule her.
