I think you are over-reacting here. USA Today has had that format for years, where it prints its own editorial and then an opposing view right below it. I kind of like it, because at least it gives you some idea of where the other side is coming from. It can seem silly when the other side is indefensible (like on the evolution issue, or a recent one on sugar tarrifs) but overall I feel the format has value.

The increasing intolerance secular fundamentalists show toward views not in harmony with theirs is worrisome and this drive to force people to think in lockstep bodes ill for the future. You would think we lived in medieval times.
