Ambition will make many Democrats happy to accept the vice presidential nomination under Senator Clinton. After all, you never know what could happen. HRC could die in office, and the VP would become President. Or Bill Clinton could die, and Hillary would become President.

Anyway, Biden probably knows that as a senator, he's much less likely to be chosen than someone with executive experience like Richardson or Rendell. And Biden may have been misquoted; if he gave a two-word answer to Candy Crowley's question, it would have been the first time in his life.
